CHOICE

b4 I go into the details of the retreat itself...I want to talk about my mum's reaction to a letter I wrote her. With every line of the letter, she made silly comments...in fact I told her the letter contained stuff that could help her improve as a person...n she said "I was very good"...then she went on with each line..."I'm offended...you called me Dear when it shd be Dearest?!?!"....then "Ur handwriting is very bad"...then "ya being your mum is tough"..."ya you shd help out with household chores..." and ended with "I forgive you". :) have yet to give Dad.
Anyway...I've no regrets going to Choice more becos it was fun and I felt a gd way to start the sem. Made quite a few frens there...really nice ppl. To be totally honest, I dont think this retreat was some big revelation lah...its like we know most of the stuff but of cos I had advantage cos I did one module which touched on a certain topic covered. heh. anyway, I believe that I have still learnt from this experience and though I dont see immediate benefits, I'm sure that I've grown in some way. What really touched me was the sincerity and openness of the presenters...my heart goes out to all of u guys....and I think one thing that I've changed is realising how lucky I am and I hope I stop taking these things for granted.
Anyway...really met quite a few ppl...shared the rm with Wen Yan (spelling?), Andrew and BK. Got to bond with andrew n WY quite a bit...then there was Arthur...he said something that struck me...he said he felt welcomed in CSS...tt was a really nice thing to hear...bet he wouldnt feel the same when I was in yr1...CSS was quite different then...then got to know the other guys better...Jeff, Ed, Mau, Greg, Gabrielle ...and gals...lex, carol, shirley n many others better...
a big THANKS to all the house-keepers too...esp MarkG n Nan for ur support n letters n Darryl, Dyan, Clemence, Dwi n HD (thanks for the extra plate of meat too!!) for all your efforts!! they're much appreciated!!!
Anyway would encourage u guys to give it a shot...ESP if u dont have very gd relationships with sif others. Bernard and Ying r also very inspirational as a couple...think they'll like only the 2nd couple I can really see in love :)
k have to startup a yahoogrps for our Choice grp n greg jus came up with one: Choice 212 - NGA where NGA = Nangosteen Guava Alliance (only those there need understand) ;)
God bless one n all...n for those with lessons tomolo...it starts again...
